Dental Crowns and Bridges

We offer  various varieties of Crowns such as; Porcelain crowns, Zirconium Crowns, or Bonded Ceramic crowns depending on your needs.

Crowns are used to restore severely broken teeth. Crowns are extremely versatile and can be used to align crowding or protruding teeth, close gaps or lighten tooth colour where just doing veneers is not strong enough.

Crowns are planned and provided over 2 -3 main treatment appointments.

At the first appointment the damaged or broken teeth are built up and are trimmed back to make room for the crown. Impressions are then taken and temporary crowns are placed. We then agree to the shade or colour of the crowns to be made.

Second treatment visit will be trying the crown and fixing (this can be fixed with temporary cement then to permanent fixing as required).

A non surgical option we offer for an alternative to a denture,  is a Fixed Bridge.

A Dental bridge is usually used to replace fewer missing teeth. You should replace missing teeth for various reasons. Your appearance and smile could be the major reason but the other important reason is to avoid greater strain put on the remaining teeth and drifting.

At Barton Dental Surgery,  we do CONVENTIONAL & MARYLAND Bridges .Depending on your needs and requirements we can use Full Ceramic, Bonded Ceramic, Zirconium, or Gradia composite Bonded Bridges.
